Laser Tag Pro Inc. — Privacy Policy (All Users)
Effective date: September 23, 2025
Use of Services — AS IS / AS AVAILABLE
The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” and features or outputs (including player stats, leaderboards, and game history) may change or be interrupted without notice to the extent permitted by law.
Scope & Audience
Scope. This Policy applies to the EDGE software, Callsign, EDGE Terminal, companion apps/services, cloud services, and company websites that we control (the “Services”). It does not apply to third-party sites, services, networks, or hardware we do not control.
Business context. The Services are designed for business operators across venues and events (including indoor/outdoor facilities, mobile setups, festivals, temporary pop-ups, and amusement park attractions), and to provide player stats, enhancements to gameplay, and game history.
Roles
Controller/processor roles. We act as a service provider/processor for Player Data when processing on behalf of an Operator and as an independent controller for our own business needs (e.g., account administration, billing, platform security, telemetry, product improvement).
Operator scope. Access to Player Data is limited to the Operator with whom the player engaged; Operators are responsible for their own collection and use of data.
Player Data ownership; operator access. As between Laser Tag Pro and Operators, Laser Tag Pro owns Player Data collected, generated, or derived through the Services (including Callsign accounts, stats, leaderboards, gameplay events, identifiers, and the databases/compilations). Operators do not acquire ownership of Player Data and have only a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to access and use Player Data via the Services for legitimate business purposes at their venues/events. We may suspend or revoke access where we reasonably suspect misuse, non‑compliance, or risk.
This ownership statement concerns intellectual-property rights in our databases/compilations and does not limit any privacy rights Users have under applicable law.
Types of Information We Collect (examples, not exhaustive)
- Account & operator/venue info: Contact details and business/venue information an Operator provides for use in the Services and to display to players.
- Player profile basics: CallSign (pseudonym) and email. In Callsign, users may also provide first and last name (optional) or use social login.
- Credentials & social login: Passwords or authentication tokens; if a user chooses Facebook Login, we receive name, email, Facebook user ID, and authentication tokens/claims from that provider subject to the user’s settings.
- Transactions: Purchases, subscriptions, invoices (payment card data handled by our processor; we do not store full card numbers).
- Device & network: IP address, device/OS/app version, locale/time zone, crash/diagnostic logs, local network identifiers (e.g., local IP/MAC on venue/event Wi‑Fi or mobile hotspots), and supported hardware identifiers.
- Usage & telemetry: Feature usage, in‑game events, performance metrics, and error reports.
- Messaging: Content and delivery logs for Operator‑to‑player messages within the Services.
- Location data: City/region estimated from IP. In certain gameplay modes, the Callsign app may collect precise device location (e.g., GPS/Wi‑Fi/BLE) with your device permissions to enable gameplay features. You can control location access in your device settings.
How We Use Information
- We use information to operate, maintain, and secure the Services; authenticate users; coordinate gameplay and stats; provide updates/backups; prevent fraud/abuse; process transactions; provide support; and send administrative notices.
- We may analyze usage to improve reliability and performance.
- Location for gameplay. We may use approximate or precise location (where enabled) to operate location‑enabled game modes, compute in‑game effects, support anti‑cheat/safety, and surface relevant venue/event features; not used for cross‑context behavioral advertising.
- We may create and use aggregated or de‑identified information for any lawful purpose (including analytics, product development, safety/fraud prevention, and industry reporting) and will not attempt to re‑identify de‑identified data.
- Service outputs. Gameplay stats, leaderboards, and game history may be approximate and are provided for convenience.
- Marketing & user communications. Where permitted by law, we may use account/contact information to send product updates, offers, surveys, and other marketing communications about the Services. You can opt out at any time by sending a request to privacy@battlecompany.com; operational/transactional messages may still be sent.
Sharing
- We disclose information to service providers/contractors under contract (e.g., hosting, analytics/crash reporting, email/SMS, payments/shipping, support tools, identity/authentication) solely to provide services to us.
- We disclose to Operators when acting as their processor (e.g., player stats visible to that Operator). Operators do not acquire ownership of Player Data and have only limited, revocable access via the Services.
- We may disclose to affiliates for operations consistent with this Policy, and for legal/safety reasons or business transfers as permitted by law.
- We do not sell personal information or share it for cross‑context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
Cookies & SDKs
We use cookies, local storage, and SDKs as needed for sign‑in, preferences, reliability, analytics, and security. You can control cookies in your browser; disabling some may reduce functionality. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals.
Children / Mixed‑Audience Use
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Services do not include age verification or parental‑consent capture.
Operators are responsible for any required notices/consents at their venues and events (including mobile/temporary deployments).
If we learn we collected personal information from a child under 13 without required consent, we will delete or limit use as required by law.
Operator Responsibilities
- Collection & notices. Operators decide what to collect from players and are solely responsible for providing required notices/consents and honoring opt‑out, deletion, and retention obligations applicable to them.
- Messaging compliance. Operators are solely responsible for message content and compliance with communications/marketing laws (e.g., anti‑spam/telemarketing, youth/child rules).
- Networks & hardware. Operators are responsible for their on‑site networks and hardware (Wi‑Fi, hotspots, routers, devices). We do not control those systems and are not liable for their security or availability.
- Enforcement. We may suspend or limit access to the Services, or disable features, where we reasonably suspect misuse, non‑compliance, or risk to users or the platform.
Data Retention
- We retain information as long as necessary to operate the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect our interests.
- Deleted items may persist in backups and logs until those systems are cycled; we are not required to remove specific data from archives except as required by law.
- We may retain minimal records (e.g., suppression lists) to honor requests and prevent future contact.
- We may retain information needed for security, fraud prevention, abuse detection, auditing, tax/accounting, or legal claims.
Security (no guarantees)
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to our Services. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices & Legal Rights
- Where applicable law provides rights (e.g., access, deletion, correction, portability, opt‑out), we will respond within required timeframes and scope.
- Location permissions (mobile). Control the Callsign app’s access to device location in your mobile OS settings; disabling precise location may limit or disable location‑enabled game modes.
- We may verify identity, require agent authorization, decline requests that are unlawful or not required, and charge a reasonable fee where permitted.
- For Player Data we process on behalf of an Operator, we may route the request to that Operator or ask you to contact them directly.
- Even where a request is honored, residual copies may persist in backups/logs or be retained for legal/security reasons.
International Transfers
- Hosting & location. Information may be processed and stored in any country where we or our service providers operate. We do not promise to store or process information in any particular country or region, and we may change locations and providers at any time without notice, unless notice is required by law.
- Transfers. Using the Services involves the transfer of information to jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of protection as your home jurisdiction. Transfers occur as part of the ordinary operation of the Services. Where a specific law that applies to us requires certain measures for a particular transfer, our compliance—if and to the extent required—will be governed solely by that law and our then‑current operational practices. We do not commit to implement or maintain any particular cross‑border transfer mechanism.
- We do not target or direct the Services to individuals in the EEA/UK/CH. If you nonetheless use the Services from those regions, additional regional terms may apply, only to the extent required by law.
- Your acknowledgement. By using the Services, you acknowledge and permit these transfers, storage, and processing outside your jurisdiction to the extent permitted by applicable law.
